Another day of walking, exhibits, and amazing sights, all in the area
called Seattle Center…home to the iconic Space Needle. This is the 50th Anniversary of the Space Needle's construction for the World’s Fair in 1962. So it is receiving a lot of attention from
the city and visitors alike. One of the
biggest attractions is a special anniversary glass exhibit in honor of the
Space Needle. And, the glass exhibit was
the highlight of our day.

After spending time in the Science Center and journeying up the Space
Needle, we spent the majority of the afternoon exploring the “Garden and Glass”
exhibit by Dale Chihuly, a pioneer in the artistry of glass blowing for almost
40 years. The photos convey only a
portion of the exquisite colors and shapes.
He used both inside space, a 120 ft. glass conservatory, and the outside
gardens to showcase his complex glass structures. I was seriously impressed by his work.
