Today is the first of two days that we will be spending in the Olympic
National Park area. Our first
exploration was to head up to Hurricane Ridge in the northern most edge of this
vast park in northwest Washington. After stepping from the car
at the ranger station, I could see why they named this “Hurricane Ridge” – the wind
was a lot more than gusty.
The walk that we took along the ridge was filled with awesome vistas as
we looked at both sides of the valley.
This walk was not as solitary as some of our others…we shared the trail
with some of the local inhabitants.
After checking us out and not sensing we that we were dangerous…it was
back to their lunch.
And we continued on....
