THE Trip - Day 15 (Transition)

National parks, state parks, city parks, and formal gardens have all provided places for us to explore during the first two weeks of our trip.  We have spent time in a wide range of environments, each having its own allure.  As our ferry left Vancouver Island today at noon heading to Anacortes, Washington, we traveled through the San Juan Islands.  It was like floating through a picture postcard of sparkling water with tree covered islands.  I watched for a sighting of the resident Orca whales….alas, no luck on the whales…but I certainly enjoyed the cruise.

Beginning tomorrow, our trip takes a detour from primarily outdoor activities to more indoor, city highlights as we begin our move down the other side of the Puget Sound into the Seattle area.  Our list of sights to see and things to do has been continually growing as we get recommendations from everyone we meet.   It seems that Seattle has something for everyone.  So, whether we rush to do it all or struggle to pare the list down… I am sure we will enjoy our time in Seattle.
