An uneventful day…just the kind you want when you are driving the last
200 miles of a 4,000 mile trip…safe and smooth – all the way home after 35 days
on the road.
The home front was in good hands with Dennis’ sister, Sandie, and her
husband, Jim…but they, too, were ready to head back to their house in
Escondido, CA. They had gotten their car
ready to leave before we arrived home.
So, we did a quick reverse hand-off of information on the pets, the
plants, and events in the neighborhood.
I cannot express how lucky we are to have them in our family and to have
them be willing to uproot themselves and cover our house/pet sitting
needs. Many thanks for enabling us to be
able to do a trip this comprehensive!!!!
It was a wonderful adventure.
When I started the trip, I planned to do a blog post for each day of
the journey to track and observe the whole journey. With this post, I will have met my goal. In the process of achieving a ‘post’ every
day, I have learned a lot about “how to do” the blog, gotten faster at
manipulating the pictures, and gained a greater appreciation for those who do a
regular daily blog post.
However, the biggest revelation is that I really enjoy the writing
process. While I won’t be adding a post
every day to my blog…I will be writing
and publishing many more posts as I observe my ongoing journey at this stage of
my life.
The sound you hear is my applauding! Very well done and I look forward to your future posts!
